Introduction to Digital Accessibility on-demand eLearning
A self-paced course that lays the foundations for understanding why digital accessibility is necessary today and into the future. The course's duration is approx. 60 minutes long and requires no pre-learning. The Introduction to Digital Accessibility learning modules will assist you to:
- Identify how the whole community benefits from digital accessibility
- Recognise different kinds of disabilities and how they impact individuals when accessing digital content
- Understand digital accessibility legislation and guidelines in Australia including the WCAG guidelines
- Recognise assistive technologies for people with disability and what they do
- Participate in further training with a good understanding of the basic principles of digital accessibility
Creating Accessible Documents: Word and PDF
Learn how to create accessible Word and PDF documents in this one-day crash course. Suitable for anyone who uses Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, we’ll teach you how to ensure your digital documents are accessible to everyone.

Advanced Creating Accessible Documents –Microsoft Office
Learn how to create accessible Word documents, Excel workbooks, PowerPoint presentations and Outlook emails. Suitable for anyone who uses Microsoft Office, we’ll teach you the benefits of accessibility and how to ensure your digital communications are accessible to everyone. Plus, participants will gain free access to our Document Accessibility Toolbar (DAT) eLearning module.

Advanced Creating Accessible Documents – Adobe PDF
Learn how to edit and verify accessible PDF files using Acrobat Pro DC. We’ll show you advanced accessibility techniques to remediate PDF documents, without the need for a source file. On completion of the workshop, you’ll know how to create PDFs that are accessible to everyone.

DAT 101 on-demand eLearning
Learn how to use Vision Australia’s free Document Accessibility Toolbar (DAT) for Microsoft Word effectively with the DAT 101: Everyday Document Accessibility eLearning course. This course drives accessibility awareness throughout an organisation by increasing everyone’s understanding of accessibility, and providing step-by-step guidance on how to efficiently use the key functions within the DAT to make Word documents accessible.
Assistive Technology Training 101
A unique opportunity for web and software developers/testers to understand how people who have vision loss use assistive technologies on desktop and mobile devices.
Participants will interact with and validate the accessibility of standard and dynamic functionality on their website using JAWS, VoiceOver, NVDA and ZoomText.
