Accessibility Audit
An Accessibility Audit review of screen designs, design systems, prototypes, templates, and components to identify conformance issues against WCAG 2.0 or WCAG 2.1 and other accessibility issues. It includes simulation of several user scenarios and uses a range of browser-based tools, manual code inspection and testing of the pages with assistive technologies to check for additional user-related accessibility issues.
Our detailed reports describe any technical accessibility issues present on a website categorised against WCAG 2.0 or 2.1 Level A and AA Success Criteria that fall within the main domain. The auditors will analyse any issues presented and provide detailed bespoke recommendations on how to resolve them.
Statement of Accessibility
In addition to the Accessibility Audit, we can also provide a Statement of Accessibility, which is a formal acknowledgement from Digital Access that you have met a specific level of the guidelines. Typically this requires an iterative testing process following the audit where you address the accessibility problems identified in our report and we test and confirm the problems have been resolved.
Conformance Audit
A Conformance Audit is an evaluation of the web service against WCAG 2.0 or 2.1 using a range of browser-based tools and manual code inspection. As automated tools can only ascertain a result for around 30% of the Success Criteria our methodology is focused on manual assessments.
The Conformance Audit report will identify every Success Criterion that is non-conforming, and provide an example of every unique issue that falls under that Success Criterion with a recommended solution.
Mobile App Evaluation
A Mobile App Evaluation establishes the level of accessibility for the content and functionality of a native iOS or Android app against the relevant standards, including WCAG 2.1 Success Criteria, and best practice standards for inclusive app design. In addition to a Technical Assessment of the app, we also provide User Testing with six end-users using various adaptive strategies that are supported by the related devices to assess the app's practical accessibility.
Accessibility Certificate
In addition to the Mobile App Evaluation, we can also provide an Accessibility Certificate, which is a formal acknowledgement from Digital Access that you have met a specific level of the guidelines. Typically this requires an iterative testing process following the evaluation where you address the accessibility problems identified in our report, and we test and confirm the problems have been resolved.
