Vision Australia Library are excited to launch our first writing program for 2025, expertly facilitated by the fabulous Andrea Rowe.

We invite our budding writers to join us on a creative journey into the wonderful world of fiction writing.

This course is designed to assist you in discovering and developing your own personal Writer’s Toolbox. It's a fantastic opportunity to equip yourself with the tools to embark on a creative writing journey. Fill your Writer's Toolbox with brainstorming ideas, plot prompts, memorable characters, and enticing settings.

Throughout the four-week program, Andrea will focus on writing from the senses. This is a powerful writing tool, providing writers with the ability to ‘show’ not ‘tell’, and drawing on all their senses to enhance their writing.

About Andrea Rowe

Andrea Rowe is an award-winning, best-selling children’s author.

She has won the CBCA Children’s Book of the Year, Australian Speech Pathology Book of the Year, Picture Book of the Year, and has been awarded the 2024 May Gibbs Literature Trust Fellowship.

Andrea facilitated our popular Writing Picture Books for Children program in March 2024. Our Library members found her coaching style energising, informative and motivating.

We are confident Andrea’s Fiction Writing program will be a wonderful addition to our 2025 calendar of events.
