As Christmas approaches, it’s time for children to write that all important letter to Santa with what they’d like for Christmas.
Each year, Australia Post facilitates the Santa Mail program which gives children across Australia the opportunity to write to Santa and receive their very own personalised reply all the way from the North Pole.
This year, the Santa Mail program has been expanded to include children who are blind or have low vision. With help from Australia Post and Vision Australia, Santa will provide large print or braille replies.
Just follow these simple steps.
For large print replies:
- Include the full name and return address of each child on the back of their envelope
- Check that their letter has a 65c stamp on it
- Post to Santa Mail (large text) North Pole, 9999
- Post letters before Friday 14 December 2018
For braille replies:
- Include the full name and return address of each child on the back of their envelope
- Check that their letter has a 65c stamp on it
- Send their letters to: Letters from Santa (Braille) PO Box 176 Burwood, NSW 1805
- Or drop into Vision Australia’s offices located in Coorparoo (Queensland), Parramatta (New South Wales) or Kooyong (Victoria)
- Post letters before Friday 14 December 2018
Writing letters to Santa has proven very popular with children, with Australia post delivering more than 155,000 replies from the North Pole.
With the accessible large print and braille options now available, even more children have the opportunity to join in the Christmas spirit and eagerly await their reply from Santa.
