Each year Vision Australia is fortunate to be supported by thousands of generous donors who make a direct and vital contribution to help support people who are blind or have low vision to live the life they choose.
Without your generosity, it would not be possible to offer the quality and quantity of support, whether it be at home, in the community, in the workplace or anywhere else, that our clients deserve.
To recognise this, we have updated our online donation portal to make supporting Vision Australia a simpler process, while also increasing accessibility and security.
“Each and every one of our donors makes an important contribution to the lives of people who are blind or have low vision,” Vision Australia General Manager Fundraising Luke Bell says.
“We want to make sure that when somebody decides to support us they’re able to do it in the most convenient and secure way possible, which is why we’ve updated our online portal,” Luke says.
Donors can now create online accounts through the donation portal. This will allow them to update contact details at their convenience, as well as download their tax invoices.
The new platform also allows our supporters to access more information on where their donations go and how they support people who are blind or have low vision.
“People often ask us how their donation supports Vision Australia and our clients. We’re happy to provide people with more information and increased convenience about the donation process and how we use their donations.” Luke says.
Providing donors with the ability to update details online and access electronic tax invoices will also reduce administration costs.
The update also ensures our donation platform is always up to date with current security technologies and accessibility requirements.
“Our Digital Access team has been involved in the upgrade process to ensure the platform has the most accessible experience for users,” Luke says.
“Our payment gateway is managed by an industry-leading provider and our donation platform is constantly reviewed to ensure all security requirements are being not only met, but exceeded.”
