Do you struggle with procrastination or self-sabotage, possibly because of a lack of self-love and self-belief?

These feelings can be a common problem and are something life-coach Lisa Jenkins helps people overcome.

Lisa recently spoke to Vision Australia’s Tina Brunet for a special podcast about mindset challenges and the importance of people taking notice of what their inner voice might be trying to tell them.

“I think of the voice within you as your unconscious mind, it’s an immediate response to things that happen around you,” Lisa said.

“Usually we go from thing to thing to thing without even paying attention to what that inner voice is saying to us, so having awareness is actually 95% of the journey,” says Lisa.

Tina raises the issue of people who are blind or have low vision, who often have an inner voice that disables, rather than enables them.

Lisa suggests approaching that with a series of simple questions.

“I like to ask four things. Does believing this serve me, support me, nurture me, or challenge me?”

If the answer is no to any of these, Lisa suggests looking into what beliefs and messages are causing this and addressing them.
